Everything in this company is in total imbalance. Can someone explain to me how is it that some do not get to take a break from the amount of work that needs to be done while some even get to do online shopping and research job offers?
Some are on the verge of burnout, while others spend their time working comfortably. I just don't get it. Please don’t tell me that some know how to organize time better than others. Nordstrom has become a total mess.

Not a hater. Just here to tell the truth about my situation! Every time you speak truth your called a hater or are cancelled. I’m not living in a bubble.
I speak truth!
Haters gonna hate
Taking selfie’s all day ,shopping online on company time ,making fun of employees is not HEAT in the kitchen it’s DISRESPECTFUL !!!
It’s all cool, can’t take the heat, leave the kitchen.
Exactly. My old manager had 6 f-hag pets keeping his ego in check
Listen. The ones who work "effortlessly" and have plenty of time to do other sh– besides their job are manager's pets. They have also their workload passed along to a much more qualified POC/intern/genuinely diligent coworker desperate to keep their job.
There is medication to help imbalance. Let me know.
I am a director and I block my time and allow 30mins slots randomly to show people I am busy. This is how things work here & we rock!
My old coworkers would hide in the display shop which was back behind a stock room. Shopping online, reading Tarot cards, trying on mannequin wigs, trying on clothes, spending 3 days putting clothes on a rack to dress 5 mannequins which can be done in 2 hours not 3 days! The manager and assistant having their therapy sessions. Doing selfies. They were on the floor only a couple of hours each day. They spent the rest of the day goofing off.
The best technique I learned from upper management is to always tell everyone how busy you are and then you can goof off as much as you want or need too. It helps to develop that overworked look and use it anytime anyone is around.
It has always been that way.
