Not sure how wide this is going but layoffs happening as we speak in Optum Insight. This is effecting the Optum Physician Advisor Solutions division. Might be others as well.

most folks checked out . what 's the pt of working hard for a place that does not care. why work hard and be loyal unless people believe in empty promises and someday yammer.

They never cared about "sacrifices" nor loyalty or dedication to the job. We're fungible-easily replaced with the next batch of s—ers 2.0. Clock in clock out, smile, collect check, leave. rinse, lather, repeat. No "love" nor family for the corporation. And keep the pizza party friday for the duped brown noser masses
I work over at Optumrx in Carlsbad and they just announced they are forcing permanent employees to become temporary employees. Management is claiming there is not enough work. After the sacrifices we made during Covid to come here and get these pr-scrip-ions out to our customers this is how they reward us.
There's no loyalty in the us workforce. Employment at will doctrine-it's a us specific thing and why we do not have employment agreements/contracts like every other country. We're employees at whim-thank the american corporate lobbyists.
In all these layoffs does anyone know if CST (Clinical Support Team or Optum Physician Advisor Support teams) have been layed off. There is/was so much corruption/favoritism/nepotism in those groups that they should have layoffs. So many people tried to do great jobs and were cut while those who spent the day taking breaks and trying to make things as unpleasant as possible for those who did good work were spared time and again.
13 from optum state gov cut today. Willing to guess only so the dxc leadership that now works here will bring in more of their folks. What has happened to our culture. This not right and the upper leadership doing this should be let go!
The team is likely still there because it brings in even more money to these money hungry low lifes

CEOs make way too much money, that's part of the problem on why middle class can't even get by compared to decades ago....
