It’s very quiet here, as if nothing is happening. Are there any insights about possible layoffs now that AT&T nears the deal with TPG to sell large minority stake in DirecTV?
I have been debating for a long time whether to leave DTV and now I see that I was wrong not to leave this circus a long time ago.

DTV personnel are boring and complacent and happy just to have a job for the time being. Move on.
I hear you my friend. This place (El Segundo) is a ghost town and the ones who do show up look scared and beaten. All the best engineers and managers have bailed, so all that remain are the incompetent slugs, old-timers desperate for retirement and losers. Sad.
Same talent drain is reported all over our Los Angeles centers. Thanks for nothing AT&T.
