With all the rumors of hiring osp techs in LI NJ and Bx how safe can these jobs be when thise positions were depleted in may??? How many went back already? What is the future of altice

I kinda feel bad , but I’m going back . I collected unemployment, severance , and worked under the table . Now I’m going back at same rate of pay 💰... who’s the s—er now. Lost 18 years seniority in a place it doesn’t even matter .. =}
I think most of us are asking for a raise to go back to that mess.
They are probably waiting til after the April /may layoff date to rehire where isn’t union cause then they don’t have to offer same rate of pay . Loser company
What the pay increase? Im sure it will be less than what the guys that left or were laid off was making.
They want cheaper. Remember just enough to get by. BTW s jersey is going to have their hands full in a couple of weeks with the BPU

Oakland was the only depot that didn't drink the kool-aid, yeah it had older heads in the building but those older heads didn't believe the spew that altice was trying to feed field ops, oh 5 yrs and there would be no place for coax techs, bs
Techs were around during fios fiber build and knew that Altice was full of it, your problem was listening to these sups feeding u lies, that's the issue u letting sups decide ur fate for u
I was osp laid off in May. No one called me to give me heads up they were hiring. And I’m pretty sure the others weren’t called either . You have a better chance w a union coming back from a lay off . And they need more than just a few guys back in the group . It’s a nightmare. No help more standby than should be legal . How many guys are willing to leave IBEW to go to a unprotected group like OSP?
