Thread regarding Union Pacific Corp. layoffs

Are layoffs over for 2021? Glad you stuck it out?

Are layoffs over for 2021? How about for the glass palaces?
Who is glad they stuck it out? I think the worst is finally over.

This is from the perspective of Michigan (Business / Finding Jobs / Automotive and Teaching )
I am glad this is annonymous.

There are so many job postings, however it seems like they are from recruiters all posting similar listings about the same job. Research cannot be accurately conducted on the # of listings as it really needs to be divided by 3 to account for the vast number of recruiters all trying to find a body to make commission on.
For the unemployed, it is disheartening.

Also is the fact that someone with 20 years experience in business can't go back to school, get into teaching and make $75K on average. Often they are really making $95K ish if over 20 years! And comments to students they aren't rich and have 5 cents until Friday. Really????

They start at $35-$40K. All while teachers complain they don't make enough! That is absurd. I do not believe they realize the real world. In the real world, you don't get months off, and if working via an agency you are paid only the hours worked. No Vacation/Holiday, etc.
and have you heard of a "furlough"
Have teachers every really been faced with unemployment? Seriously Biden Admin please allow more educated people to go into teaching as an alternative path that does not include starting pay that is unrealistic! Thank you
