Someone mentioned here that it is possible to monetize your story, that is, to sell it to magazines. I’m sure we all have a lot of stories to tell journalists here. I believe that something like that would be at least a little satisfying, but I don’t know how worth is it to expose yourself to stress and the public? Any thoughts?

Bankrupt company is toothless and you won't get into trouble. I don't know the level of interest any more though. The company failed so it doesn't matter any more.
Don't go down a rabbit hole. To sell story of people you worked with at any company will bring harm to you more than good. First of all, company has code of conduct for a reason. Second they made you signed that legal docs upon your employment. They will win a case against you just by serving you a court paper. You ain't gonna have enough time and money to fight them.
You will make more dough writing a seedy fictional novel on patreon. And that's an honest profession.
Everyone is free to write an article for BuzzFeed for coffee money. No one is making money in journalism. It's honestly better to work at Sears.
Forbes and USA Today are the main national media who are still covering Sears on a regular basis. I haven't seen any recent coverage in Wall Street Journal, NYTimes, Fortune, Bloomberg, or Business Week.
Sears stopped being newsworthy 3+ years ago. No news outlet is going to pay for stories from former or current employees. Anything you think should be shared is completely irrelevant. No one cares.
@skd+19xl2scZ "Good Afternoon, Please note it is against company policy to speak to the media when the Company made be cast in a negative light. Cases of employees "selling their story" will be referred to the Associate Service Organization for investigation and swift justice." You're Joking right? Y'all just laid off a bunch of workers and have quietly announced store closing the company is done Eddie Lampert and Larry Costello stop sending out goons to protect yourselves we all what's going on its all about the real estate it not about the people and who make the stores work.
Good Morning.
Company update.
All company employees, have all the rights to say what ever they feel . Its called freedom of speech.
Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
I doubt you'd get much money, maybe a one-time stipend or something. Forbes or Business Insider is unlikely to give you big bucks but it would probably be satisfying
Where do we sign up? I’ve got tales to behold of the shenanigans and hijinks!!
Good Afternoon,
Please note it is against company policy to speak to the media when the Company made be cast in a negative light. Cases of employees "selling their story" will be referred to the Associate Service Organization for investigation and swift justice.
You're kidding right?
I think you should Eddie Lamperts puts profits over people no wonder so many people hate the company and do not shop there
