NRE in the mid-50 age level is one of the few age discrimination regulations by which the company abides. Like the dude lawers says they have to.

You will survive, that doesnt change. However, the time until you are RE and get run out on a rail won't be professionally satisfying. You will be a team pariah and treated like something stuck to the bottom of a shoe in spite of any real value or contributions. The wonders of forced rankings and perceptions.
