I will say what I heard about Everett layoffs after I first take my hat off to the first guy on this thread, the one that don't log on Worklife until the end of his shift, and goes to work and gets the job done on time. Don't say much to anyone.
I know this guy is someone getting things done at Boeing and is someone in the know of things on the floor. None of that show man B. S.
For 9 yrs I always caught up on my ETS the last day for the whole last prior 2 weeks. It was required to clock on a job everyday, but I never did, not once. I didn't like sitting at those computers too much either, but I was good at finding drawings. My time was on the floor getting things done on time. So again I thank that guy for being real and not someone throwing people under Boeing Shuttle Bus. Don't let that guy get layoff. Boeing needs every bit of help they can get now. I mean the ones that get things done on time. I've never seen a time when the company has been in so much trouble. Layoffs are coming all year. If the company don't cut off the non-working entourage , It will bleed the company payroll. There borrowing to pay it now. So layoffs are needed.
During layoffs usually every shop, group, team, & management will get hit with some layoffs and everyone will not get it the same day. It will be spread over the next year. I know from reliable people that Emergant Operations are seeing a few go on a second round. I was told that the Composite Wing Center or CWC , 40-56 building in Everett is keeping only 100 people to run all shifts. There going back to 2013 hiring date to do that. Finally I think your going to see departments that have excess amount of managers always grouped together some of them will go. You might see Temporary Managers transfer into mechanics jobs so Boeing can hide them. That is all I know about that. Even if you get layoff from Boeing your sitting good , better then most people. You will get Maximum Unemployment payments, and what ever help Boeing gives you, as well as call back rights in the future for most. If you was hired after 2013 right now is not time to be paying high monthly payments and start making changes now and if you get a lay off don't wait and start gathering information and resources you need on the outside because when you go you lose access to most of Boeing Computer. There are no jobs out there now, at least not for most you mechanics. There is driving for Uber, or Amazon hiring sorters and that is about it. Currently the maximum unemployment payment is $760 a week.......I end with that. Thanks
Did not log on to Worklife until I got off work today. Did not see red bell whatever that is. I just go to work, get my work done on time. Mind my own business. Try not to talk much with co-workers other then Hi and Bye. Always look forward when day is over and I'm clocking out. Don't want to work overtime and don't volunteer to. When forced to, I just go in and do it and look forward when time to clock out. I do not bother to read any of my emails and have not opened Outlook since last Summer. I usually open Outlook to delete any email i receive and I don't read them first
The media seems to always know first. LoL. It’s the one thing you can count on. Cause they can’t predict or forecast anything else lol haha
You cannot reason with the infantile mind of a moгon.
The mind of an individual afflicted with arrested development
is frozen in time it will never have the ability to reason or cope.
So dumb to constantly start these type of threads. If you are directly impacted (or even indirectly if you work at Boeing) you will find out about it as soon as it happens. The media nor any rumors will come out ahead of those notices.
If this doesn't impact you then this is really none of your business. I understand that a lot of folks here love to celebrate bad news & hope for others' misfortune, but please give it a rest. You act like id–ts with these type of posts.
I’ll let you know Friday evening.
Yes I heard about 60 ppl in IRC.
