This is bonus time . Not hearing a lot of bragging on all the generosity for sacrificing so much this year.
What’s the deal ?

Management didn't earn their bonuses for a number of years now. If the management wants to get on here and say they did earn it, then tell the rest of us exactly what you did to earn it. It's okay I'll wait!
For the sh– work the managers do I wouldn’t pay them a McDonald’s meal as a bonus they don’t deserve or earn anything lazy people is what they are
I do know of one person who was a senior director that I worked with personally, who was demoted to an MTO. That happened across the system believe it or not. Just because you don't believe it or agree with it, doesn't mean it didn't happen. The UP is a crooked sh1thole RR.
@iudu You're as full of sh.. You were never a Sr. Dir. If you had been you'd still be there or no longer an employee. They'd of found a spot for you or you were a total f– up.
Bone us is why I left this place. Couldn’t get a pay raise and was told don’t worry we’ll make it up with your bonus next year. Well the bonus was horrible and they got another year out of me before I quit. I now work for a different transportation company and am much happier.
Bonuses are wrong if not for the whole work force
I heard my manager got a pat on the back and a coupon for a 25 cent cheeseburger from McDonald’s.
When I was a Senior Director a few years ago it wasn't uncommon to get a 50K bonus, depending on the stock prices, sometimes it'd be more. The 50K was a combination of cash and stock. Now I'm a low level manager trying to keep my job with one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peal.
Bonuses were 25% less due to cash flow issues. Sad as stock at record high. Net bonus was probably even less due to the time off taken without pay last year they “said” would be made up in bigger bonus. Didn’t happen.
You should have never heard bragging about this as managers sign paperwork that compensation is private and not to be shared. This is mainly to keep jealousy down between managers when one is paid more than another. I was a trainman and then a manager for 20 years. My bonus was pretty much the same year to year. Bonuses are a small part of a managers salary. There has always been a lot of talk about managers bonuses, but it isn’t that big of a deal. The biggest perk of being a manager is/was the Harriman pension, which was changed to a matching 401k for newer managers. That is the only reason many put up with all the BS related to being a manager.
