The postponed merit increases was done to allow time for layoffs in the next months. Those who have been notified have some time to seek other internal positions in parts of the company that are hiring.

How many people this time around? Most everyone notified?

Layoffs notified this week, many today. Out by end by 3/31. Makes the 4 maybe 5 in the past 10-12 months.
Assumed that was the case (delayed for layoffs). Any more intel on projects/teams/locations?
At least they gave time to look for opportunities else where. I didn’t have that luxury. I wouldn’t trust the c-suite team any further than I could throw their fat a–, esp the finance team from CFO to Corp Contr. The IT team is a revolving door and I know many who filed harassment claims and they were ignored. The incompetence they employee and reward is a joke, and I could go on.
Believe me when I say, it is much better in the real world. Take you severance and move on.
