Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

When will know the Singapore Study outcome?

Waited and waited and waited since year end last year. When will we get to hear more? Please just say it, and not let people continue waiting...

petrol hike after budget day announcement will cause demand to fall even further, all this additional threats can be overcomed by sending all the expat back home and cut the top layers... This should form the 30% hopefully.

Singapore has been long dumb fat and happy. They can do with some headcount reductions. Least this time will be called a layoff to not damage their honor.

1W March. With 25-30% cuts. It will be deep and painful but hey we preserve the dividend level with unrivaled portfolio so all is good!

The Singapore oil industry is really in the dumps. No other oil company in Singapore is hiring. In fact Shell and most others are letting people go too. Its a sunset industry and will continue to shrink. Younger ones may be wise to look at other industry instead.
