In March 2021.
Just in time for the end of Job Support Scheme payout, for our industry it ends in March.
March
Refining is all moving to China. Just look at Australia and Alrona shutdown. Future is clear. Cheap Chinese labor is the future.
Stop hiding from us employees, be upfront like a man.
I know a manager said the announcement is around Mar/Apr. All the best folks, may the odd be in our favor!
Aiyah, Sg management very cunning one, they hide information from us, inject insecurity and fear into us, make we employees wait to tell us surprise so that their plans can be executed swee swee... That is so Low and No classs at all...
petrol hike after budget day announcement will cause demand to fall even further, all this additional threats can be overcomed by sending all the expat back home and cut the top layers... This should form the 30% hopefully.
wow..
30% of 3.5k people = 1k people laid off!
which businesses will be impacted?

Ouch!
1W March. With 25-30% cuts. It will be deep and painful but hey we preserve the dividend level with unrivaled portfolio so all is good!
The Singapore oil industry is really in the dumps. No other oil company in Singapore is hiring. In fact Shell and most others are letting people go too. Its a sunset industry and will continue to shrink. Younger ones may be wise to look at other industry instead.
It’s coming by 1Q.
Next month.
