Should Tesla or EV owners be fired by XOM ? Or maybe anyone who gets more than 25 MPG should get fired ?
Just brainstorming for the next round of reductions. Share your thoughts.

You’re not moving high up driving a Tesla I can tell you that
Lucid Motors is the next 10x EV stock.
16 yrs veteran, I have earned more on Tesla stock than my lump sum would pay. Buh-bye, losers!
Buying from the professionals who have zero to little experience on reliability in this space? Just because they build a reliable and cheap ice doesn't mean they can do the same with EV... You're just sold on the branding and marketing... Which is what a simpleton does..
Hey smarta$$ @OP, you do know who invented the lithium ion battery, right? Exxon R&E in Clinton. The short-sighted, visionless management that k–led this are the ones that need to be slapped silly then fired, not Tesla drivers. Unfortunately they are likely long retired & dead. Oh the irony/karma that we will be done in by our own invention!
Yes, you only get ranked high if you have an F350 that you drive from your Woodlands McMansion to go to your cushy campus job that requires a ton of hauling.
Your response/reply is rather rude and you are not willing to hear frank and honest opinions. I hope you will change and according to Confucius teachings, no one is born to be bad. The circumstances and challenges facing us could influence us. We should not let this make us to be bad. We all got to be forward looking and move ahead. There is so much goodness ahead of us and if it is not in EM, I am sure we can find it elsewhere. Let’s not ask one to turn in your resignation if that person find that the Company he is in, is good for him. No offence is meant. Cheers
@1ows+19qismjx
Turn in your resignation.
This is not a good question to ask and I am not sure what this person is trying to achieve. We are living in a world that has progressed tremendously, made our living environment easier, safer and more enjoyable. This is inevitable that we need to ‘change’ or ‘destroy’ nature. Cities/homes are built from deforestation, etc.... From the Environmentalist viewpoint, we need to minimise, restore (by re-planting), use more environmentally friendly stuff, etc.... we cannot go back and live like the Stone Age time after we have experience the good lives of the present.
For clarification, I am not a Environmentalist per se, but a normal human being that seeks to improve our lives and at the same time, preserve it for future generations. Oil has it’s usefulness and is not that bad and we have to have to do our part not to destroy the environment. We cannot become hypocrites and live on the income from oil and at the same time say that people who try to preserve the environment should not work in this industry. Let’s do our part and together, the earth will be a safer and nicer place for all and future generations to enjoy. For those guys who drive EV’s, I salute them. (One day, there will only be EV’s only or even more friendly ones like ‘hydrogen-powered’ vehicles and God knows what else.). Take care my friends.
Yes, XOM should only retain people who can’t see and prepare for the future.
Hopefully Tesla owners also invested in TLSA stock because they’d be rolling in money right now.
@1lle+19qismjx - I think what you mean to say is that you are stuck in the decades past and refuse to move forward. Awesome skills to make exxonmobil the greatest company again! Just the same skills that have lead to the downfall of this company to current.
YES. They do not fit the esprit de corps of the company. They do not support the company. Their actions say it all, as far as I’m concerned. Get them out of the company and please Lord at a minimum, for their ake, KEEP THEM OUT OF MY GROUP, because I will not be nice to them
@rwt+19qismjx Cheaper at Costco with more than 10% in combined discounts
Yes. Leaving money on the table with the 10% discount.
I have been employed by EM for 2 decades and don't get my gas at Exxon or Mobil station. Should I be fired?
Def needs to be discussed by the board.

Dumbest post every. Have to walk back your comment because of how seriously stup1d it was?
You knuckleheads it was said in gist.
Dumbest commenters ever. When people use ad hominem attacks and call others stupid and etc, the same can be said of the sayer of the words.
Haha 😆
How is an EV equivalent to taking horseback? An EV is equivalent to any ICE vehicle for the intent of getting around. Those too stup1d to realize the opportunities of EV for short commutes (daily commute to/from the workplace daily) are truly the NSI.
Regardless if the company wants people to stop utilizing vehicles that don't use our products, ithe switch is coming. Comments like @OP is typical of exxonmobil management's style of bury our heads in the sand and not to be forward looking.
What about those folks who arrive to work by horseback or in a covered wagon?
Tesla owners are the real smartest people in the room. Do a LCCA analysis in owning an EV and realize how much money you are leaving on the table to own an ICE.
Maybe the people coming up with and agreeing to getting rid of people with these type of behaviors should be the ones let go. They obviously have no place with building a better company. Only the hopes of being lost in the past.
Great idea
