Curious as to why the negative feelings towards CTI, seems if anything they've just been muzzled by leadership. They used to send out a weekly bulletin that just disappeared for some reason. Didn't the entire hunting team turn over? Not sure it's fair to say the new folks don't have talent when they haven't had a chance to get into the role.

The real drain was around the time Hammertime left, and SF got put on the chopping block. It wasn't done any favors by SM or SS, and continues the death spiral under NF and her wonderful lap dog, MM.

I've said it before, and I will say it again- you need to consider another employer if you are into tech. This isn't a tech company, and won't ever be.

Of course, if Colonial Pipeline happens here- it will be amazing to see the amount of money that suddenly is available.

I've worked previously at major defense contractors, global cloud services providers etc. I can say for sure that the tech talent within MCK - especially when it comes to CTI & Threat Hunting teams, is mediocre at best. There are good people at MCK, don't get me wrong, but they're generally ones who stay for just a couple of years at most and then move on to bigger and better things.

It's a blessing? Really? That post reeks of a upper management post, since they don't do technical work and think leadership having real talent means everything is great. Good leadership focuses on retention of technical talent that actually does the work and enabling them to perform the work that needs doing, not saying it's a blessing when you lose that talent that has an understanding of the business and security in the environment. Guess this great leadership can reverse engineer the next breach.

The people exiting are a blessing. We are getting real talent in the leadership ranks. Focus on company over team or individual. No one insisting loyalty to an individual.

More like people with a brain. People who understand the business and Cyber need to work together for a common mission to protect the company.
