Heard from a friend that they just got notice yesterday his store is closing. It's a big one and have not seen it listed here. He's in management so my impression was it would be announced to the store team today.

Is Sears closing the last Sears grand?
Ok so today In Sears Grand Rancho Cucamonga California there was layoffs the ASM Softlines got laid off and one part-time LP 4 full timers got laid off and I heard there’s more to come.. remember floor and decor is coming in to half of the store.
Will that turn the Sears Grand into Sears Petit ?
Ahh, gotchya. So he was able to sell/lease some of the building to another entity but not all of the space.
Floor & Decor is a chain of stores that sells flooring and accessories. What the person probably meant was that the store, Floor & Decor, was taking over part of the Sears space.

We found out half of Sears Rancho Cucamonga was gona be floor and decor!
Who knows anything about that.

That leaves just one Sears Grand open, in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

So from my original post it’s now public on Indeed and it was the Sears Grand Thornton.

Kmart in Kearney is closing as well
I also just found on Indeed that Sears in Baton Rouge, LA is listed as closing.
Indeed those sound separate from the last group (no pun intended)
I see on Indeed that the Sears stores in Long Beach, CA and Brockton, MA are closing. Those are locations that have not been previously discussed before as closing.
Is your friends store a Sears or Kmart?
The title of this post is plural, whereas you refer to your friend's store, singular. Which is it? One? Or more than one?
