I think there’s a lot of burger flippers in here that Frontier taught how to read a script 17 thousand times a day to take calls and ask customers to unplug their modem and plug it back in. You guys just mad you’re watching your old co workers get hired back at McDonald’s at the same rate you’re making now, with a $500 sign on bonus.
Those same customers complain to us when we show up about how stupid the guy/gal on the phone was 😂😂
When it comes down to it, your job can be automated. You’re obsolete. Field techs, the ones who actually DO the work, see the customer, have an endless set of parameters we could be looking into in every job every day.
And I make about 3x what you make, all the OT I want, and have to keep up with changing technology.
I won’t give the company too much credit, but they know who is worth what. Keep applying, you might get outside and possibly not be so worthless one of these days.
Oh, sleeping in vans is a super popular comment on here. There’s this thing that was invented a while back called gps. You wouldn’t believe how many metrics they watch us on. And there are lazy techs for sure, I worked with 2 of the most worthless guys I’ve ever worked with, but guess what…. They’re both gone…
You wanna talk about somebody who needs more busy work, it’s dispatch. At least some days. Close one job and look at your next one’s cable pairs and address and cr-p for a minute and your phone is blowing up wanting to know if I’m on lunch… at 9:30 in the morning? Are you seriously that d-mb and/or bored? Go lick a window and leave me alone.
Anyways, all you desk riders blaming techs for everything including 9/11 need to work a real mans job before you point your fingers at us.
I won’t tell you what temp you need to set your climate controlled room to, which cushion for your fat azz is most comfy, or critique the quality of your mani-pedi, and you don’t tell me about my job. Because you know absolutely nothing about it.
Most of you guys don’t, or shouldn’t have much to complain about. For the last 18 months when I have no option at all, including shooting myself in the face, I break down and call whatever support number I need, and hear either screaming kids or Netflix in the background. While we’ve been out there this whole time doing exactly what we were doing before the corona coodies.
The company truly is broken. Seven different local managers in the last ten years, multiple directors/Gm's, bad IT, broken systems, and the it's not my job mentality. I have never seen such low morale or accountability across the board in my life. It really is sad at what this company has become and the lack of direction and leadership taking place is astounding. It really is a sh– show and the tp ran out a while ago.
So many techs in here butt hurt because they have been exposed after years of being lazy and incompetent. The only time they have a voice is when the union cant save them and their toys are being taken away. Should've taken the buy out, this entire company is worthless to anyone.

The techs aren’t necessarily stupid, it’s more like they don’t have a strong work ethic. I did a ride a long with a tech once and we went to Hooters for lunch. We were there over 2 hours and I literally had to drag the tech out of that place because we were over 45 minutes late for an appointment. I didn’t complain because the tech paid for my lunch.

I think requiring a certain level of education for techs would be a start. I think if Frontier required a high school diploma to be a tech, that would help weed out the really dumb ones. We get complaints from customers all the time about how stupid the techs are. It’s kind of embarrassing really.

The only thing the techs have mastered in the last 30 years is how too take naps in their vans without getting caught. That’s the same as employee theft in my book........smh
management on here calling techs useless and lazy. haha. everything that's taking to the local supiviser is ignored. "don't have time" thats if you can get him to open his always closed and locked door with a do not disturb sign. guaranteed ill run circles around every last one of you supivisers. 1 out of every 4 may be able to tell me what a cross is or what pr 17 is.
That wprthless tech thats been told everything to do to very fine detail and we're failing as a company? I see techs everyday that want to go the extra mile but management can't loose any production, think every job is cut and dry like the next and don't care if it's done half a– so tell the tech keep moving...yup, that worthless tech. You have no clue.lol

Don't blame the techs, blame the Union for continually defending the "non-performing" techs, blame local managers for not doing their jobs and finally, blame your employer, they're using the company as their personal piggybank
