Ford Motor Co. on Thursday launched Ford Blue Advantage, a new digital marketplace that will allow its dealers to list and sell certified used vehicles on a single platform — a response to customers looking for a digital shopping experience and an attempt to reclaim market share from upstart digital retailers that have eaten into dealers' slice of the used-car pie.

You people don't know what you're talking about. Ford has been in the business of pre-owned vehicles since we started leasing cars thru Ford Credit. What do you think happens to all of those vehicles that come back on lease return? Ford Blue Advantage is an UPGRADE of the current certified program that's been around for 20 years. Pre-owned vehicles is a profit center for the Dealers and research shows that many pre-owned sales build loyalty and lead to new vehicle purchases in the future.

Thing is trucks are so freaking expensive that the used market is a very big deal.

Question: How does Ford make money through Ford Blue Advantage? Do they skim a percentage of every truck that a dealer sells through it?
