I am a sales acct manager for the Optum Nursing Home Plan and have been looking for a new gig for a couple months now. Aside from Covid we have had to deal with a ton of turnover with upper management, incompetent sales directors and senior level “leaders” who don’t care about anything but the numbers. Is it worth looking at other opportunities w/ in Optum?? The current situation w/ the Nursing Home Plan is not good!!

Everybody is only out for themselves. It's all abt money. Nothing else mattered. Once that truth becomes apparent, then reality sets in.
From my understanding only the kool aid loser drinkers that love to be gaslighted and are willing Stockholm syndrome employees are left. TRUE TOP PRODUCERS have left (duh!!! as they should!!!).
Are the greedy boomers going finally to the nursing home dept?
And never ever work with 98.4% boomers. They're work obscessed. lust after money, and consummate hustlers.
Live for today and never look back. Life is fleeting. It's short. Live in a corporate hamster wheel is putrid. Don't sell yourself too short. Do whatcha have to do and leave that horrible US place
Get out of there before they assign you another state or 2 to sell in
We're not corporate buck dancing for that place. Ok. Do your job, go home. Rinse, lather, repeat. No politics, no gossip, no nothng. Hi/bye/ice cream flavors and vanilla topics if you're forced to socialize. Head down, do your job, go home. That's it. Most jobs are horrible. That's life in the empire
You can do it! Look elsewhere and don't feel strangled there. Don't listen to corporate simps, brown nosers, desperados with 4 kids and huge morgage, etc....they were mentally ill. Find your passion, another job offer, and bail!
I worked for OptumCare/UHC Nursing Home plan for a few years and tried transferring within UHG my last year there, but found it tough. I then looked outside the company and found a new gig no problem.
"You could get lucky and have a much better situation though."..yah, and someday my dog will talk.
Its a c-apshoot. It could be worse somewhere else within Optum or UHG. Many departments are complete clusters. You could get lucky and have a much better situation though.
Massive turnover is and was usually a bad sign. Stand clear of these putrid, us corporations.
It’s not going to get any better unfortunately. Med adv programs are dwindling so you may want to look elsewhere instead of within. Lots of changes coming!
