Best Buy Laying Off 2/2021

A lot of FTers being laid off today. Some being offered PT and if they don't take it, they don't get severance. Not positive on that but that is what at least one employee was told.

So my husband was offered a position to stay but since bby wants to have slave labor, my husband declined the offer and they are trying to get him to sign a voluntary resignation form. Does this decision wave his right to severence if he doesn’t take the position?

I'm not sure why your store was not offering severance. My store gave us Full Timers the option of dropping to part time or taking our severance.

Can confirm this. Me along with 15 other individuals just got severance packaged out unless we are able to find part time positions elsewhere in the company
