Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

You're all sad, old dinosaurs

The only people on this site must be from the NCR days, relegated to obscurity

Can't wait to see what else you complain about as cloud profitability unfolds

Keep complaining about hardware RIFs and generous early retirements, thanks

I was in one of the very first groups to get laid off from Teradata - when they were discrimminating based upon age and was laying off age 50 and older. The wind was knocked out of me because I absolutely loved working for Teradata. I can honesly say that being laid off was the very best thing that could have happened. I was picked up right away by another company that valued my experience. In the 4 years I've been gone from Teradata, I've gotten promoted twice and up for a performance bonus on top of the company bonus we received. I'm making more money than I though possible - way more than the 2% CPI provided by Teradata. Don't be afraid of what's out there and go down with the ship. There are companies out here so much better than Teradata. They value their employees and pay for performance. I come on here as a reminder of how blessed I am to have gotten laid off. I honestly wish I had gotten this nudge years ago!! Godspeed to you all!

Getting laid off from Teradata was the best thing that could have happened. I was staying because it was comfortable. Now in a new career and the change is amazing. Get out and get moving.

This troll was busy living life unlike the sad losers still working at Teradata. Sorry if me enjoying the beach the last couple of days made you miss me!

Where is that troll ?

How come he can scuttle off? He called this on.

Where is he? He’s probably somewhere dark with his trotters up.

Where is the geezer ? Staring at the share price, innit ?

Unlimited liability if he’s short and I reckon he’s about 4 foot free in his almond rocks.

Yes, Teradata is doing so well at giving their c-appy technology away, who is actually buying? How many consultants do you have to implement said sales? Can you provide any quality education for your customers? Any CS support? Asking for a friend.

Well, THIS IS a lay off site, and since Teradata’s way of surviving is laying off every 4th and 1st quarter, then the corporation alone will keep this thread alive.

I look forward to cloud profitability. With my accounts we are consistently failing and giving so many credits to the customer to make up for it, if we ever do get the product stable, all profit will have been given away
