A lot of people traditionally dislike HR, but I have several peers in HR that don’t even enjoy their job anymore. They don’t respect the company, and are looking to leave for a better opportunity. One of them specifically said she doesn’t even know what to say to potential candidates anymore as they all know about the companies layoff situation and she doesn’t want to lie to them when they ask questions. It’s sad that even the most ardent supporters this company had in its ranks are just trying to hold on and make it now.

WAAAHH! They made me work 9 days straight! They made me work over 8 hours! They made me work the job of 2 people! WAAAHH! They cancelled my day off! They changed my vacation, WAAAH! Cry us a river! Pull your head out of your A$$ because you have NO Fuc.ng clue what it takes to actually WORK your way up in this POS company! I’ve seen it, and done it myself. For me, my record was 31 days straight, 12-16 hours every day, all shifts. I’m between days and shifts and trying to sleep not knowing what day it actually was other than - I just woke up time to get back to work (only if the phone wasn’t ringing) kiss the wife and hope to see here soon. For those of us - (there are many) who put ourselves and family thorough the nightmare of UP for many many years only to get sh.t canned without notice, I say go f– yourself! Stop with this 9 days in a row, working 3 shifts BS! Yeah I’m p-ss-d off! Like many of my brothers and sisters who have been busting our asses off only to shafted, I think I can say this from all of us. Get the f– outta here- Baby
I heard about a career fair that the UP was a part of last year that NO ONE was interested in. I was told that it was in Iowa somewhere. As big as the UP is, and with some of the wages the UP pays, that no one showed interest in the UP? The UP is a sh–ty place to work clearly, but NO ONE? I never knew about that career fair until I was told about it. If that happens to be true, then it really makes you wonder. The folks who know nothing about railroading are avoiding the UP.
When covid is over, UP HR will still be practicing social distancing away from college career fairs. Because they’re not invited to reputable schools anymore. They’ll be staying home and staying safe for life.
Nobody that works in HR made this post or is reading it. Some of you are slow.
I think labor relations is the department most of us union folks don’t like. HR just hires people and lies to get people to accept jobs. Labor relations folks are unethical thieves who interpret agreements how they were never intended to be. They are the one who are the enemies of the working people not HR.
I’m glad to hear HDC hasn’t changed! It warms my heart. Especially with all the snow we’ve had this winter......

Working so hard trying to decide what virtue signal you’re going to throw up this time.
You guys can’t decide how to choose somebody on merits or how many genders there are so nobody feel sorry for you.
You’re too busy trying to force b—s— down our throat‘s and make us except things that we know we’re wrong.
Find somebody else to complain to
go wallow in your own self-pity while you’re trying to figure out what gender you are.
Maybe you can go put up soon BLMANTIFA posters on the outside of the Crystal Palace right after they break the windows or spray paint all over the building.

As a member of HDC I almost feel sorry for you! Let us know when the cancel your days off or make you work 9 days in row! Even make you work all three shifts in the same week! I am so sorry the HR is getting frustrating for you guys! Let us know when they double the amount of work you do or won’t approve your vacation request because there is no coverage! SO SAD FOR HR
