It sounds like a davitas healthpartner thing. This was what happened. folks gonzo, disassappeared, tons of lay offs, etc...yet the owners walked away with billions

Will there be layoffs in the Health Information Management departments at healthcare provider sites?
it is so bad here that getting layoff would be an employee benefit as crazy as that sounds.
Be prepared and do not get blindsided. Unless your boss loves you and he is protected (recently promoted or recognized), you are at risk. You are more at risk if you been at a long time and make more money that most folks in similar position. You are more at risk if you are young and new since they need to balance the layoffs by age to prevent age discrimination lawsuits.
If someone high up likes you, you will be spare. When that person leaves, you better worry.
How about Data analysts and CST departments?
More cuts coming. all plans cutting. offset Covid costs. Early in the year they want to make sure they hit earnings. Payroll is easy to cut. Effective healthcare is a tough management process.
There were layoffs on January 21st. Our entire department was cut. Our last day is on the 18th.
