I am seeing more and more that people with experience are being exited and replaced by far less experienced people. It is glaringly obvious that experience doesn’t count for much and this is more about who liked it. So many promotions my god. I have just done my job change to someone who has literally no idea about the role or any technical experience of the role. This person had no understanding of even the simple control framework let alone the depth of knowledge needed on the risks. These are important risk based roles that can land us in hot water without appropriate controls in place. I cannot speak for how it is throughout the entire organization, but I can speak for what I see in my part of the organization. These people are not being set up for success.
