Reminder that the Kmart side of the company actually makes a profit and the Sears side hasn't been profitable in years.

Being profitable at this point in the game for this company is no different than putting a fresh coat of paint on an old house just before that house is condemned and torn down.
True. As a person, I use toothpaste, dental floss and cat food. All 3 make for a really fresh mouth.
Perhaps during March,2020 thru May,2020 when Kmart stores were opened and Sears stores were close. Kmart sells items that people need to use everyday,(dental floss, cat food, toothpaste).
LOL, I think y'all are missing the point that this post was written sarcastically. It was a joke, OP was just being ironic.
Just have a laugh!
Reminder: The tooth fairy exists. Just have a laugh!
Just a thought but if that was true then why not split the company keep Kmart alive and just BK Sears?
Next we will see the post claiming Sears is more profitable than Kmart and why so many more Kmarts closed compared to Sears at this point.
That was true in 2006. So I was told when a former Kmart IT manager said that since I did most of my work for Kmart IT and not Sears he was able to get me a 1.2% raise. He was insulted when I didn’t jump up and down with excitement.
There's no way Kmart is profitable with so few remaining stores.
I'm not so sure being profitable makes it "go-forward" at this point.
Can you provide some supporting evidence for this statement?
That's the primary driver for the lack of any Kmart stores closings. If, on the other hand, Kmart was not a go-forward retailer, you'd start to see some Kmart's closing. Luckily, with this not happening, the Kmart open store count remains in the thousands, as it has since the 1980s.
