Yesterday I found some older photos with former colleagues and I got quite nostalgic when I remembered those happier days. I wouldn’t want to offend anyone, but there are fewer and fewer talented people here. All the best workers I know have gone somewhere else. In essence, it’s hard for me to accept what Fossil is turning into. Is it possible that the company doesn’t care much about losing great and talented workers?

Wait? ELTs like Darren or Kosta or Greg aren’t considered amazing? I’m shocked! How dare you say the talented have left us. Darren is admired by us all. He is the best!
Not care? They don't even notice other than maybe if a direct report. As long as the train keeps moving there is pay to be had for the shrinking everyones. But of course, those in the luxury car more likely not to be in the wreck when it gets to the bridge that got outsourced overseas and never actually built.
No they don’t care. You’re just a number, and on paper they would want tenure to leave so they can hire the next cheap kid out of college. There are so many companies out there hiring, and even more possibilities now with WFH. It’s scary to leave, but be brave and preserve your self worth. Unless you are in the C-suite wheeling and dealing quarterly stock gifts, you should be looking elsewhere!
A lot of great talent was let go leaving some groups to be managed by some that are questionable and under-qualified to run a department let alone be responsible to design the entire line of a category! It’s obvious Fossil cares more to survive with the bare minimum if that means sacrificing head count as well as quality of talent!
