Layoffs well under way at Canadian Head Office in Richmond Hill.
Seems to be mostly older employees in their 50s and 60s.
If you have been laid off...do yourself a favor...lawyer-up.
If we all do this, severance settlements will cripple Staples...and no one will buy them.
Sycamore has regretted buying Staples from day-one and wants to unload this "dinosaur" asap.
Lets do our best to de-value this company that never got out of the 90s...

No there are none at the Corporate office would know about them by now.

And sadly if you think it will never happen to you it might. I was sure I was there until that titanic sank but I was completely sideswiped last Tuesday. I am looking forward for my second act in life...scared....but hopeful. I always thought I was more than a number at Staples but I was just lying to myself.
Sr Staples Manager here. Not going to say which one. BUT I can say that Retail is gearing up for a rather large reduction at the corp office at least from a IT perspective. Discussions are being had now.
