The rights of shoplifters have to be protected. Also, corporate doesn't want to spend the money prosecuting them. So we get a situation where the shoplifters can take advantage of us.
Even if associates aren’t on their phones doesn’t mean they can stop people from stealing. If you’re that low life you will steal from anyone or anywhere.
Salary doesn’t have anything to do with how they handle a situation. Most don’t want to be harmed. Life is more important.
On cell phones less? How else do you think they contact their buddies to come steal stuff? Get a cut of the profits from selling all the items. At these wages , you got to make a living some how. So they take a kick in the pants from Losses. What are they going to do, fire some 6 or 7 figure salary VP to make the difference up? No they are going to can hourly employees, or managers at the location.
