Manager is cruel

Anyone have a manager who makes fun of you but in a cruel way? My manager mocks my speech, I have told him constantly that I want him to stop but he says he’s just playing with me. It’s even escalated to where he does it in front of coworkers and I’m at the point of walking out, but I can’t because I don’t have anything else lined up. I am in the process of looking but honestly I don’t know how much more of this I can take.

Sorry to hear, my boss (she) mocks Indian people’ accent even during while she is having team meetings.

What she doesn’t know is that everyone outside America learns her language to communicate with her, all she knows to speak is English and she can’t have the appreciation their effort to speak her language.

It’s called ignorance. Narrow minded. This woman should have been terminated long time ago. Not just for that, but that ignorant personality is reflected in many other ways as well.

Anyway, I’m so sorry you feel that way. HR will not help you, they always take the side of management unfortunately.

Your best bet is look for a job and leave. And join a team that is diverse and accepting of diversity.

Take care and remember this is an experience for you to reflect on in life.

Call HR and next call a lawyer. Too much of this at this company. Maybe reach directly to SD as well. He won’t put up with it.

Sounds like a hostile work environment. Reach out to HR immediately or call ethics line. Have to work through channels before a lawyer will have any case. Of company doesn’t address and issue continues then consult a lawyer.
