Much better back in Seattle than that god forsaken St Louis. Also no more McDonnell Douglas culture to deal with Ya!! Probably more at risk of being layed off. Seattle beats St Louis hands down.

St. Louis is a armpit. You would have to be an absolute id–t to want to live there.
St. Louis management is problematic.
They have a lot of dead end legacy jobs that no one wants to do that they play politics and try to force older workers in. What they can’t seem to grasp is without a pension there’s no incentive for older workers to stay in St. Louis and do these jobs.
Older workers in the past would only tolerate this because they didn’t want to lose their pension.
Boeing and Seattle and McDonnell Douglas in St Louis both s—ed, so I quit and moved far away to a new industry and a much happier life
I had the same unfortunate experience. I could not stand living in St Louis or working at that McDonnell Douglas site that masquerades as Boeing. To get back to Seattle Boeing I had to switch job skill codes.
I have worked for Boeing both in Seattle and St Louis. Now I am at another Boeing site. I'm willing to return to Seattle to work where it is great if you enjoy hiking, skiing, fishing and hunting.
However I'm not willing to return to St Louis to remain employed by Boeing under any circumstances. I guess living in St Louis is okay for some people but not for most.
Saint Louis tops the list of the most dangerous Cites. Saint Louis has been the number one most dangerous City for more than a half century and counting. The public schools in Saint Louis and surrounding cites s—. Their ratings are mostly one or two out of ten. When I had to move to Saint Louis to stay with Boeing I realized pretty quickly my kids were much further ahead both academically and maturity among their peers at the school my kids went to. I finally got out of Saint Louis after two years living there, when I decided to leave Boeing and take a job with another company I applied to. This has turned out to be the smartest career decision I have made. Life is great no longer living in Saint Louis or working for Boeing. I would tell people if you ever get an option to leave Boeing then jump on it.
Totally agree!!! I too moved to St Louis but made my way back. St Louis is a ghost town. Average age is 90 years old. Kids' parents get mistaken as Grandma/Grandpa. Weird looking people there (inbreeding?).
