what a horrible place to work. save yourself
Anyone checked on Ram?
Interesting speculation from Bloomberg:
https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2021-02-01/emerson-ceo-dave-farr-s-departure-may-revive-50-billion-breakup
I worked at Emerson in the Engineering Dept
It was the most demotivating working environment I have never seen
Emerson is a finance driven company where decisions are taken looking just at the next quarter
No long term vision, no mid term investment in new products development, just cust cost and move engineering activities to low cost countries, especially India
I do not expect LAL to change things,
If CEO is chosen internally the company's culture will not change
I think this announcement is a good news for competitors who are already gaining market shares
All of that bs about Lal is just not true. Any CEO will have to consider the numbers obviously but Lal has a healthy respect for technology, innovation, and investing in the business where value can be created for all stakeholders. He was the best choice by far.
Good riddance to Farr. Unfortunately, Lal as a replacement isn't going to be much better. Lal cannot spell innovation and doesn't know a thing about technology or marketing. He will continue to drive the business into the ground with a short term focus on the numbers, at the expense of Emerson's employees and customers.
The racist bigot SOB DF has left the building.
Guessing Krishnan or Stokes
So who will replace Lal?
Actual change, and change for the good will take place now.
It’s a good thing. Much much better than Jamie.
I think it is time to sell my shares - just when I thought things couldn't get worse I wake up to this announcement. Another drop in leadership capabilities
New to company. So this announcement isn’t a good thing?
