Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

The Woodlands is next to HP

For those moving to the new Houston office you should know that it is located next to The Woodlands and, as such, you will probably find your home in The Woodlands. We have lived here since 1984. If you have to live in the Houston area this would be the best place to live, IMHO. See this link below for more on this area Good luck to all.

And Texans should stay in Texas where you fit in.

@@1kqe+19Zn1m2b "The one thing that troubles me about The Woodland is that it was developed by George Mitchell, the father of modern day fracking (look it up). He owned Mitchell oil and gas. He also built out the community I am big on renewables so I don’t like this." You should just stay where you are. Texas doesn't need more liberal twat knots.

I heard homes are cheap there. $530, 000 for a home on a golf course and a pond. That would be sweet. There must be a catch, oh I forgot, its in Houston, ha!

We live in the woodlands close to the HP building. It is nice and you can get a good deal on a home. Here is one on the golf course for $500k near our house I wish it was for sale.

Yes but it’s not in The Woodlands. There’s a reason for that.

Also, why are we talking encouraging people to move to a location to join the company on a forum that talks about layoffs?

Also, also, HP is not HPE. I know HPE is horrible at communicating this and their branding is not the best.

We will be living in The Woodlands. I have been there before and, like the op says, if you have to live in the Houston area, The Woodlands pretty nice.

The one thing that troubles me about The Woodland is that it was developed by George Mitchell, the father of modern day fracking (look it up). He owned Mitchell oil and gas. He also built out the community I am big on renewables so I don’t like this.

Here is an interesting fact: The HP building is next to EXxon Mobil’s office of 10,000 employees.

Move, buy a house, and maybe get a mortgage for what? Because we (for now) work for a failed company with no leadership whatsoever?
Nope, I'll pass.
