I wish I was one of the employees who have been laid off. That lack of transparency, smoke and mirrors, terrifies me more than the layoffs itself. Other than rumors, there is no information from managers who avoid giving any answers. Why they keep us in such uncertainty will never be clear to me.

It was a publically traded company. They answer to wall street and profits. That's why there's enormous uncertainty and employment at whim-will doctrines.
i was hoping to get laid off too, but since it wasn't going to happen, had to resign. if you're young and wiling to take a risk, I 100 recommend.
