The Ego’s have passed down from the d rates to the t rates. T rates think they will have a long 20-30 year career in Schenectady. The writing is on the wall no matter what the company gives you for workload numbers. Those T’s have not been around long enough to know the game. Most T’s never made more than $14 hr before GE that is why the cola raises and contract raises are next to nothing. But we all know the next wave of layoffs are coming because LC wants the rest of his bonus. No onion leaders nor company will tell you different but they all know it is just a matter of when. Schenectady is a dump and the electric city is all but burnt out. Just look at these clueless T Rates sweeping the floor just trying to look busy.

I don't care what rate you are, if you're under the age of 45 and you think you'll retire in another 15+ years all fat dumb and happy, you are SCREWED!!! Those with less than 15 years to go will probably make it to a decent early retirement deal. I hope you have most of your years in!! Start getting ready NOW!!! When they sit you down and toss you the offer with only an hour to think about it, you'll be glad you got ready and knew where your numbers had to be. You young kids need to stop thinking like you have a long term plan that won't have any roadblocks!
