Yes, there are more and more rumors of layoffs coming. Everyone knows that it will be soon, but no one knows exactly when it will be, how big it could be and who will be the target. Can anyone share some useful insight? Uncertainty really frustrates me, motivation to work is zero.

I bet we have a layoff when COVID restrictions are lifted and right before we are asked to go back in to the office.
So we got a corporate-wide email a few weeks ago asking everyone to take all their accrued vacation ASAP and I remember getting the exact email back in 2015 and shortly after we had a massive layoff
Why worry about it. My recommendation is always be looking for a better opportunity outside of Halliburton. It's the best time to be looking for a job, i.e. while you are employed. If you land something you like, turn in your resignation. Everyone should be looking out for themselves. Never assume you won't be released.
