Is it just me or did dril quip go down the pan soon as it took 20 guys to look at a sticker board every morning ?? Looking at something they didn’t understand ???

If you think about it this company and employees from chargehand up are a complete joke. Not a clue what they were doing and ultimately ruined the company . BU tried to act like he did but was as bad a running a machine shop as he was operating a machine

If what you are saying is that lean was used as a catalyst for a cull in staff then the fundamental concepts of lean has been totally lost on this company.

The backlog reduction started in 2015 long before the embarrassment of daily lean walks. The Lean walk information highlighed basics such as covering overheads could not be met with the current foot print and staffing levels, hense the cull and reduction in foot print. Out sourcing is far more efficient .
