Thread regarding Commscope Inc. layoffs

Do you really need Commscope?

Let's say you are a building owner. Isn't there too much interface to add DAS or small cell?

I have often wondered, why not just use the existing wireless carriers? They purchased tons of spectrum that building managers just don't have.

Isn't it cheaper to just pay a wireless carriers than to "go ur own" and pay reoccurring costs anyway?

Even some of Commscope solutions come with license fees and or monthly cloud charges?

Am I wrong? Where's the savings?

I'm guessing that a lot of s—ers are sitting home buying knockoff, brand-name, shirts with frayed stiches, on websites like, wishididnt.com and alleybooabiaprize.com.

And after opening the package find that the faux brand name 🤥 label is already peeling off the cheap polyester fabric. And nobody ever bother to ask for their $$$ back. So that probably drives a need to pull a new set of Commscope fiber cables across the Pacific ocean.

Ok, so Commscope can make a few bucks there. But certainly not enough money to maintain all the bloat. At some point a ship needs to lighten the load, so that it can better navigate the rough waters.

I watched the hummingbird documentary and read about flash trading, as an investor in Tech I know a little about wireless tech and communications. I'm not looking for advice.

I just do not see Commscope being a differentiator in bringing the gap from 4G to 5G.

Am I wrong? Where is the distinguishing difference(s) between Commscope and their competition?
