Problem with a merger is.. Chubb is acquiring the hartford, so Chubb has favoritism of keeping their employees while dumping a lot of the hartford employees. Probably will see major layoffs if this deal goes through, but mainly on the hartford side. Sigh
It is not a done deal. If it goes thru it is very good for both companies as the competition is high and this will increase profit margins. Of course there will be consolidation in buildings, employees etc. which is part of any merger.
