Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Think you’re safe?

I am very sorry that one entire team was eliminated even though they thought they were safe, but the moral of the story is that you should never think you are safe. At one time layoff was also given to one of my colleagues who thought he was an “essential” worker. There is no such thing here.
It’s not good to be paranoid either, but it’s good to always be prepared.

I’ve heard of this. No OT can be clocked so you must take time off to compensate to not go over your 40hrs. That includes if you work nights or weekends. Yes, weekends.

ADP is doing something illegal. They aren't allowing employees to clock their overtime. Employees are given a workload that cannot possible be in 1 hour of overtime a day they allow. If you clock your overtime you are on the overtime report. ADP from the top right down to managers are bullies.

I no longer work for the Company so frankly I couldn’t care less. You just assumed I still work for the company which was incorrect. Sure I didn’t like getting let go but now that I’m gone I’m damn glad that I am out of that madhouse and I’m surviving quite nicely.

However I noticed you didn’t answer the question.

It is NOT my job to tell you or others what to do to help those affected by the layoffs or to even help management realize they are F'ng up terribly. I can comment that for you to stand on the sideline and say "what can we do?" is a total cop-out. Look in the mirror and ask yourself is that really how you want others to treat you when you get hurt? ("Oh, what can we do?") Do something positive for folks or just don't say anything.

I’m just curious..... what exactly would you like him or her to do? ADP is technically not doing anything illegal so I don’t see how they could be sued. I’m not condoning their actions, They are an awful company and Carlos should burn in hell. However, unless you’re suggesting the employees stage an armed rebellion I’m not exactly sure what you’re suggesting?
