Thread regarding Harsco Corp. layoffs

Only a short term improvement?

If you are in a technical job, now is the time to start looking aggressively, when the layoffs hit, it will take a long time to get a new job if you have not already started looking.
Sounds like the job market is getting better for engineering, I think it is only a short term improvement....

I think someone shared some great advice. Better safe than sorry!
I’m interested in what others think, will the improvements in the job market for engineering become long term?

Life is much better out side Harsco Rail. So glad I moved on.

Pay attention to the housing market and lumber prices before making a major move.

Engineering is hot right now, lots of companies looking for good engineers, software, mechanical and electrical are in a very short supply. If you are able and looking to get out of Columbia with a good resume you can have a job in a few short weeks. Mid and Sr level are the most sought after right now.
