This a good approach to drive people back to the office full time with 9/80. I would much rather have the every other Friday off and spend some time on the commute either way. The Friday’s off were great because you did not have to ask permission like you do for vacation. You can still take every other Friday off as vacation with the new system but managers frown upon that.

Pretty sure this has been announced pretty clearly. Not sure what rock you've been under. 60/40 split office/home at manager's discretion. 9/80 flex is gone so 8 hours of working 5 days a week.
9/80 is not coming back
So is it 3 days a week office, 2 days at home with no 9/80 schedule? Isn’t this just a transition while covid goes away. After covid goes away it is likely it will be return to the office and back to the 9/80.
I've had this option for 20 years tbh.
