Of course, it is not a problem only in this company, but in general throughout corporate America, but I think that the younger generations should think about it and talk about it more, because no one will be young forever. I feel very humiliated that my many years of loyalty to this company have been rewarded by making it so that I can hardly wait to retire and get away from this company. I literally count the days until retirement.

I think OP is referring to ageism specifically targeting older folks. My take: the company doesn’t want to get rid of you because of your age, but rather because you are more expensive than younger staff. Yes, experience is critical but I’ve seen some bright junior staff who have a couple years experience and are just as productive as senior equivalents. Then you start to question why you’re paying JG2’s and 3’s 1.5-2x for similar quality of work as a 4 or even 5.
Can the original poster explain what they mean? Are they saying there is ageism against old or young people? Or both?
Young people aren't stupid enough have loyalty to a company. In fact, most old people aren't either.
