Thread regarding Neiman Marcus Group layoffs

What a relief!

I did the dumbest thing ever but I really couldn’t stay here anymore and I’m full of joy after quitting. I am aware that I can have a lot of problems because of this, but at one point I risked ruining my family relationships completely. I don’t remember a day when I wasn’t grumpy and in a bad mood after work. I just decided to quit, so whatever... A job is very hard to find but I hope to succeed, there are some options. This company leaves its employees no options but to take huge risks because the pressure is unbearable.

You are great example how Neiman’s management intimidating their employees and encouraging them to quit rather then to face more mistreatment. At Neiman’s that is tolerated special at the highest levels of management. Best example is Neiman Markus Michigan store general manager. That person is terrible store tyrant who intimidate store employees and subordinates by using “ silent treatment” and by assigning undesirable work to make you leave. That person spread despair.Yeah that person managing one more store hope you are not working there.

Tell UIA that the work conditions were unbearable and if you have any mental health issues you can get a Dr note. Good luck and I was terminated and I'm loving it!

Somewhere in this chat it was mentioned that Paul Brown would do a listening tour. Looks like that never happened. He and the board could learn the truth about the dysfunction.

We're losing great people due to dysfunction at the top. It's a mess. And the new board is doing nothing about it.
