Has anyone moved to the Class II railroad to share their experiences? I have such an exhausting schedule here and that’s why I was thinking of changing something. Someone told me that Class II in terms of schedules is much better and that there is less concern about job security. I would like someone to share some advice.

Nobody is not showing up for TEY jobs and trains are tied down and waiting for CMS to dispatch crews. Nobody wants to work here anymore.
I want to be a vaccinated ILWU longshoreman
Let Feetum and Sibert run the trains.
I’ve been thinking a lot about going to a class 2 as well. I’m number three on my roster but have found it increasingly difficult to work for a company like this. There are some downsides. The biggest down side is the pay differential and what that does to retirement. I have heard in many situations that they treat their employees better, which I suppose wouldn’t be difficult to do versus the way Lance and the execs treat us now. I’m told by those who have gone that they work harder, but I’m not really afraid of that. I’ve heard over the years how tough it is outside the railroad and that might be true but they’ve been trying to recall employees to my location and they’ve had a lot of no shows so how bad could it be?
That’s where all the UP executives go. Ask one of your buddies
