I just got a tip from an manager friend that another round of NDAs were signed. Watch out for more layoffs, alert friends that still work there. Be safe.

"most of the useless people are still there, now its there turn to feel the burn!"
Oh yeah because the person who can't figure out "There, Their, They're" is totally not one of the useless ones.
Kinda funny now after looking at GA’s open positions, how many more of them popped up recently!
After I was laid off months ago, the GA division I was laid off at, seems to be hiring again? Mmmmmmm...interesting...
I wonder why, maybe it’s because GA used the pandemic as an excuse to get rid off certain employees that they didn’t want anymore due to age, HR issues, or for other personal reasons. Because after looking up at the website they are on a hiring spree, pre-pandemic days. Companies usually wait a few months until they can hire new employees so that the EDD doesn’t question their actions. Pretty shady if you ask me, but GA is a shady company. So it’s no surprise.
it was two people that worked in the A&P department in Poway. i kinda want to get called back so i can tell them where to shove it. my new career has taught me new skills, skills i would never had learned if i stayed at GA.
Anyone laid off that actually went back... is the definition of a bad employee with no skill set!
actually GA has called back a few they laid off last year. so its subjective.
GA has always just survived by areospace standards - so this is nothing new... All GA employees are 2nd rate at best maybe even 3rd rate but it’s always been that way... stop being bitter and move on... GA has already moved on
GA ASI legacy programs are hurting big time, all the FSR programs are going to be gone by next year. All GA has going for them is their foreign sales and that's still not enough for potential growth. I have a feeling GA will survive. whether people are bitter or not. this was by far the most joke of a company i have ever worked for. I since moved on and at my currently place of work, we are rewarded by hard work and dedication rather by being best buds with your manager and former deputy director. i kid you not! there is literally a employee that has been with the company for 22 plus years and all he does is sit and watch YouTube and search for car parts on a company PC. does this sound kosher for a company that build UAV's for the US military/ foreign customers?

The layoffs in Utah where a handful and probably noting going to effect most techs in California. They are currently cross training their techs because of the large amount of people who quit, after last years layoffs.
Utah dugway location had a few layoffs last week, this was on the ASI side. we literally had nothing to do! we would clock in and do absolutely nothing. so in all honesty i was expecting this. i have a interview with NG, next week.
You meant BAE Systems Secures $188 Million Contract for U.S. Navy’s AEGIS Combat System.

GA just secured a 188 million contract to offset the orders lost by the AF. So this just looks like a lot of wishful thinking from bitter old employees.
Tons of dead weight on the business side.. from the most junior to Director level... most unqualified bunch I have ever seen in my career
In all honesty, this company is a joke with security and NDAs ETC. details of the layoffs were know, by pet favorites. details on the severance packages spread like a brush fire. Last years layoff was hush hush, yet my supervisor told me to start looking for a job a month before August 26th. I even got references from my supervisor, and the deputy director. Apparently they were not suppose to do that.

GOOD. Get rid of the useless people. This is a business not a welfare state.
I’m this isn’t a surprise. In a recent interview GA acknowledged that orders were down and tough choices would need to be made in the near future to keep operations out of the red. So no NDAs would be required if it’s already being broadcasted over the net
i heard there were layoffs in Utah, any truth to that?
