This is my first job and it was not my plan to stay here for long. Whomever of my older colleagues I talked to, they all told me not to stay in retail for long.
However, I stayed here a lot longer than I had planned. Then a pandemic happened, so now it’s hard for me to find a new job.

I only took the job be because of commissions. I got out of debt got a car which I needed and got the boot last June. Macy’s was never a career for me. Plus look how it’s turn out
I started at Macy’s as seasonal help for the holidays. That was 29 years ago. I just early retired a month ago. A lot of changes for sure in those many years. Was planning to stay for a few more years but some things changed after the furlough that was too much to endure for me. Kind of sad it ended this way.
Macys is my first job. Was supposed to be there for the holiday season. That was nine and a half years ago.
