My bonus was joke, but still, I feel somehow safer because I got it. However, I have a friend in another company who got laid off right after he got the bonus. Nothing would surprise me, but I wonder if you think the bonus is a good sign that you won’t be the targeted for layoff? Any thoughts?

Offshore should feel safe. Everyone else is a s—er if you feel safe

I received a huge bonus, and a thank you call from the CEO and was laid off 2 weeks later. I don’t put much faith in companies today. They spend all their time worried about exec pay.
