I’ve always wanted to have a job in railroad, but after a few years here, not only did I get disgusted with BNSF, but railroad in general. Because of everything I have experienced in this company, I am sick of the whole industry and I would like to find a job in a completely different field. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about where I might go. Has anyone from the BNSF gone to a different industry?

I love working out of Hobart and the irwindale local. No ATMs around and we
have ballon water and whip cream can fights at night and mess up the passing crews windshields. Just too much closing around on the way out.
I helped implement PTC and felt trapped in a dead end job. Luckily I got away and managed to remake myself into a marketing expert. It took years of self study and initial payouts but it was worth it to get away from all the drama and complaining. Sitting there and pretending to work all day everyday for years is just not for me.

Sounds like you need to quit your B–chin and go get a different job. The railroad has been nothing but great for me since the day I hired

I know the feeling of disgust too while working for the rail industry/ BNSF. Going back to the Trucking/ Construction industry cause its ten times better. Hope you find a better career in a different field.
