Sure seems to me, if you look at the age profile of the executive leaders at ADP, all but I think one fits the 50+ demographic, and certainly they are pensioned, highly compensated more than anyone, and expense dead weight that ADP does not need. Hey HR, how about getting rid of that!
You all sound surprised. This process started at least 10 years ago. If you are over 50 and especially if you were part of the pension plan, you are a target. Even though National Accts was pruning for several years, I did not see the light at the end of the tunnel, until I was run over and shown the door, Unfortunately, while you can correctly call it age discrimination that category is hard to prove.

What does GPT stand for? The acronyms at ADP are driving me nuts! Do we know how many people in total were let go? Were they all in GPT or more specifically in Vantage Development?
ADP, a software company, that is just outright laughable. It will never be a software company or a technology company no matter how much they want to be or say they are - they just aren't. That's like saying Stanley Steamer is a tech company - nope they s— wet rugs for a business. ADP is really similar. :)
And the "skill set" they have now is TERRIBLE. Cheap, sure, I will give you that. But, skilled, not a chance anyone is buying that statement. I watched for well over 5 months a dedicated team of 12 Indians try to produce 1 report in the "agile" methodology. After that time they finally came up with something but it was completely wrong and useless. 12 people - over 5 months. What a joke. It should have been 1 person for a couple hours that would have been able to do this.
Bottom line is ADP screwed up big time. And they just keep the lie going just like most liars that don't want to be exposed.

As for age discrimination, its everywhere in America (get a lawyer and good luck proving it)
After 50, your are a "liability" to any corporation in America period! that's just the reality
I understand that new associates and leaders are off one ethnicity (too much off any one thing is really bad regardless of what it is)...skill set has something to do this...remember we are transforming into a Software company from a service company. New associate's compensation is also lower than associates that have been here 10-20-30 years.
All while hiring contract recruiters while many of us are going to be getting laid off/let go. Yes severance is being offered.
@cjh+19LEPtAu - given the current state of the economy in the US, ADP can get away with very minimal, or none at all. Severance is never a Mandatory offer to lay-off employees. Getting canned much earlier, rather than now, was a much more profitable deal for the employee. IJS...if you held in, you may have received compensation in “busting your a—“ with the overload of work.

I'm personally aware of only one – a fairly recent hire, previously an intern.
A contact in Hyderabad was unaware of any layoffs there.

It is a completely necessary and important question to answer. With Sreeni making decisions, it is imperative to know that he is not targeting whites and blacks because of their race. So I too will ask: "Were there any Indians laid off?"
