SA's - big ticket furniture were told this week that we have to 'pivot' with the business. As in bringing in more 'take with', Home Goods style stuff, and domestics. Pillows, sheet and bed ensembles added to some furniture galleries as a 'test'.

Omg...."PIVET"....IF i hear this one more time im gonna crack. Where did they materialize their new buzz word. I cringe when i hear this in meetings. Actually makes me lose respect for the parrot who repeats it...pivet is the kool aid

Gee, a few years ago, as TJ Maxx started yo soar we discussed their success, senior management noses curled like from a bad smell and we were told those were not our customer. So now we will try a pale imitation of what they are rather than develop strategies a customer will respond to 1-4 years out.
Its like the whole rabid chase after the "younger customer". Some of those folks are now 50.
