I joined Amgen a few months ago and I come from a company where layoffs were a concern 24/7, pretty much. That was one of the reasons why I was so quick to leave. I've talked to my new coworkers and they say Amgen is much better than that but that I shouldn't relax too much, since layoffs do happen. Can anybody here clarify just how bad it is?

Unless your pay is lower than the market rate. Stay cheap, stay safe, that is the strategy in Amgen CA unfortunately.
