People were here mostly just for the money. All those who are worthy of praise are leaving now.
Some of the former colleagues who were top experts have left long time ago. I am hesitant whether to go or stay a little longer to see how the situation will develop, although I am not optimistic. Is there anyone who left and regretted it?

Nope - no regrets at all.
If your offered a competitive job with good opportunities then take it. Don’t leave for less or nothing. If you have long service then might be worth hanging on for a short spell to see if another round of pay offs is coming, if it does then take your package.
